Last week the team at Performance Porsche carried out a full service to a Subaru…
We were pleased when Jeff chose Performance Porsche to carry out the IMS (Intermediate Shaft) bearing upgrade on his 2.7 986 Boxster, one thing we weren’t expecting was that his trip to us was from nearly 350 miles away in Oban, western Scotland.
We liaised with Jeff on which was his best option and we ended up fitting a single row ceramic hybrid bearing with a direct oil feed kit, Jeff opted for us to fit a new 3pc Sachs clutch kit and new Rear main oil seal whilst the gearbox was out. Jeff also opted for us to fit a pair of stainless steel tubular headers at the same time.
After completing the work within the time frame that we were given Jeff headed away satisfied in the knowledge that his IMS won’t be causing him any problems in the future.
